PACE Center for Innovation and Design

The Portland Arts and Creative Enterprise Center is an initiative by Creative Portland to repurpose defunct public works property into a campus of arts and technology studios, and fabrication spaces intended to foster creative and cross disciplinary design and innovation.

The PACE Center will leverage a wide range of the creative and intellectual economy located in southern Maine, integrating arts and technology. In partnership with the City of Portland, The University of Southern Maine, The Maine College of Art, the Portland Public Library, and other community institutions and organizations, PACE will develop, maintain, and coordinate a significant amount of studio space; perhaps the design community’s most pressing need.
